I guess AHCI is simply disabled for some reason and cannot be enabled without some hacks. The chipset seems to support it and there are some options about AHCI HDD in the boot order menu but nothing happens. I downloaded the modded unlocked bios made by Camiloml.Īnd changed the vbios of the 9600m, i am now able to download latest updates of drivers from NVIDIA, no longer stuck with the old drivers, i was able to install windows 8.1 with latest drivers no problem.ġ- changed the vbios in the SP51315 (already unlocked by Camiloml), with one vbios from techpowerup websiteĢ- removed 4th voltage step from voltage table, kept the v0.9 instead of v0.89 (no issues appeared at all)Ĥ- followed NightWalker method for clockrates, (no overclock just copy paste highest clockrates to 2nd 3rd step, left 1st step unchanged)ĥ- MXM countdown is set to 1 second ( i don't know how to remove it. and has a hard time with the 9600M GT gpu
